Report a translation problem
Maps get crowded fast. In my experience you can expect space to build 3 cities on standard with 12 nations and 5 on standard with 8 nations. After Act 1 you get more space.
But not always, in some seeds it seems you are directly surrounded by others which is bad if you want to play more peaceful. (It would be a nice add-on if you could choose if you like to be closer to others or more remote in the initial settings for lower populated maps)
Maybe it's not coded, idk but the fact still remains that it is a problem. The AI really should not get an extra settler. I always hated that on Civ because it makes for problems like this. Honestly, if we could make AI grow stronger over time instead of from level 1 it would be better for this game as a whole anyway.
