if you like a mix of civ, Anno, Factorio and with automatic battles that don't occupy you with micromanaging units.... it's gonna be a blast

I still play Civ 5 and love it. However, the gameplay has changed in Civ 6, and I don't care for it at all. Just wondering if it's like Civ6

If you like any Civilization game, that has no bearing whatsoever on whether or not you'll like Ara. It's not that type of game. It's a production queue game with a 4X skin. It's way more like Palworld and Factorio than it is Civilization.

Being different is very good for a game IMO. I don't need another CIV.

Then we can evaluate how good it is beside being different. I'd say ARA is very good for an EA game. For release it still requires few steps. Some areas are still poorly implemented.

I have over 200 hrs in the game i advise to hold off a purchase, since the last update the game is basically broke. The paragon system no longer work's also diplomacy is broke it was basic before update it's non existence now I will be posting a review soon with more details. Too your question it's not civ, a lot of great idea's in the game but a lot of work to be done on the game which I fear will not happen due to poor sales. Update 2 the Modders update basically smells of please help us fix this game community.

devs have already a full year of budgeted updates from Microsoft... that's a good amount of time to polish and expand the game

How do the map tiles work?

Hex tiles are <insert hatespeech> so I havent been able to play 90% of strategy games that have come out in the last 15 years.

If this doesnt have hex tiles I'll buy it no matter what else it does.
