Being different is very good for a game IMO. I don't need another CIV.
Then we can evaluate how good it is beside being different. I'd say ARA is very good for an EA game. For release it still requires few steps. Some areas are still poorly implemented.
Hex tiles are <insert hatespeech> so I havent been able to play 90% of strategy games that have come out in the last 15 years.
If this doesnt have hex tiles I'll buy it no matter what else it does.
