Game won't run

I have just installed the game, I am getting "running install script ()" but the game will not begin. I have restart the computer and stop everything else from running in the background, still nothing. Does anybody have an answer?

By not begin, you mean it doesn't even start to load to the main screen?

Same problem for a friend of mine, it just gets stuck after installing game services and then it stucks with running install script

I cannot play the game either, I launch it and it freezes and crashes before getting to the main menu

That's correct, I have installed it to my C drive, but when I try to run it I get the message "running install script ()". Once I get that message nothing else will happen, it just freezes. I have tried restarting the computer, it does not help. I am now reinstalling on my D drive to see what happens.

I am having this issue as well. Initially installed in the default Steam folder on my C drive and it hung on the install script. I have a second Steam folder on my C drive that is much closer to root, due to similar issues on a much older game, tried moving Ara to that one, and it still hangs.

Installing the game works. Then starting a new custom game and as the Starting text was speaking the Introtext of the chosen Nation the whole PC shuts down. Never encountered something like this on my new PC (half a year old) before. After Newstart of PC I started the game again and loaded the Game, which obviosly has automaticly saved and again, after listening to the Start-Phrase the PC shuts down in just a second, like the electricity was shut down.
I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor 3.40 GHz
Windows 11 Pro with a Radeon RX 7600 Grafik and 32 MB RAM

Should I mention, That this is a Microsoft Game?!!!

BtW: In the installation process I negate the answer to install further MS-Services, as I don't need them. Was this the failure?

Tried it the third time. It runs for a couple of turns: Invented the granary, build the first Field and looted 4 Stacks with my scout. Then again absolute shutdown of the whole PC.
It's terrifying...
Forgot to metion that I activated the beta branch before

I tried again, and again it crahed totally my PC in the middle of turn 9.
I am a very old PC Player (since 1989) and I never experienced such radical shutdown since Windows 95. What the hell did you do in your game. I am since than also a software engineer, now retired at the age of 68. How can this happen, that the PC shut down from running an application. Such behaviour should not be possible at all. What did you do to my windows system? Is this a virus in the core system?

Game STARTS ( Kinda ) as the bar starts to fill it first say around 50% "it take to log to ( something )" and then I get thrown back to desktop.... the 2,3 and 4 time I try again ( Because I relay want to play ) the text don't show and it get to like 99% then I'm back to desktop again :(

I get this game AGAIN then I see an update ( or ppl don't say "I cant start it".... I wait and HOPE ! ^_^

It worked. If your game is hanging on the install script, when prompted click no and it seems to bypass and just start the game. After that I was able to start a game and play.

I encounter the same problem.
My system specification:
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1260P 2.10 GHz, 16,0 GB RAM, Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics G7 80EUs, Windows 11 Home.
Could be a problem with the (on board) graphic card?
