Q: Is it possible to blockade trade routes, or pillage them? More broadly, what are the options if you want to diplomatically or economically cripple an opponent without resorting to force?
Q: Do you envision minor players ever becoming a part of the game? One of the things I like about the concept of the city-state in other strategy games is having a second layer of agents to interact with - and potentially influence the bigger picture game with other civs through diplomacy, trading, proxy wars and so on. Likewise, barbarians often force the players to protect their trade routes from piracy and plundering, which is an interesting (and historically-accurate) challenge!
Q: Earlier information mentioned a "disease" mechanic of sorts that played into the Health QoL metric. Is this still a thing, or are those metrics only reflected in the city's yields? I'd love to eventually see mechanics such as diseases, climate change or migration playing a role in shaping Ara's worlds, as they did in real life.
Super excited for the launch! GLHF :D
Can the game be set to play in just one act?
Are there plans to create scenarios such as the Hundred Years War?
How does combat work?
A Leader: King David, son of Jesse
Q. Will there be nukes? I don't expect them to be in the game but confirmation of if they are in the game or not would be nice.
Q. Will there be any DLC? Mainly gameplay-changing ones like new mechanics. Or do you plan on making new content accessible for everyone and just charge for new leaders?
Q. Is there going to be a custom leader/civilization creator? I remember seeing a screenshot a long time ago that mentioned something like a custom leader. Something like Humankind where you can design the leader in game would be a dream for us who lack the modding skills.
Q. Will there an official discord? It would be nice to actually speak to people rather than on forums.
I'm looking forward to the release of the game and can't wait to play it! I hope it is as good as it looks!
