Thoughts after my first full playthrough
Firstly to say I really did like the game and see its great promise after playing it; but I did have some thoughts throughout- many smaller ones I wrote in my review but this is more of a sort of wishlist I have for the future of this game.

Firstly, and primarily, I love the Prestige system, but fear it removed or neutered some other systems in play. I think the game would be more interesting with varied ways to gain and lose prestige by undertaking various tasks or things throughout-

For example, the lack of a space race seems like a huge missed opportunity; you can work towards a large project and unlock a massive sum of prestige- maybe even some additional gameplay options. Hell, The game could get a full blown future era with a little moon map, a mars map, who knows what else. The thing about prestige is it gives full freedom to avoid having to do the normal civ victories in the normal civ ways;

To help facilitate this, I feel the "long" game mode should be, well, longer. 1250 turns doesn't sound like much, but I found myself getting through to the later ages very quickly. Granted, that could be down to my leaving the default difficulty on, but it would also help gaining of more wonders and more large projects or even crisis like plagues and other events.

The map size and city cap also felt a little too small, especially with the "removing civs each age" mechanic. I loved that mechanic mind, but I do wish there were more ways to help the AI who are at risk of being forgotten. My neighbours were a thorn in my side the whole game, but when I attempted to help the smaller AI next door get bigger so that my rival would be eliminated- he rathered to die than let me give him gifts or help him with his wars.

I also hope that there are more mechanics added- global warming, corporations, illness, demographics, crime, etc; Hopefully they add expansions and more that add to this, because while the game promises to be modding friendly; it is always hard for modders to add new gameplay features. Do please let modders change acts/eras however. I feel a "Caveman2Cosmos" style mod which fleshes and splits up the existing eras would be AMAZING here;

In summary the main things I want are;
1) More large projects or things to work towards to get Prestige in a more engaging fashion (Space Race, Colonisation, Terraformation)
2) Ways to lose or gamble prestige
3) A longer "long" game + a "one more turn" button
4) Larger maps, larger city caps or city caps scaled by map size.
5) More mechanics, (Global Warming, Corporations, Illness, Crime,)
6) Very free modding tools- let people add, change and modify everything

Anyway, love the game, thank you for it. Will look forward to playing it more once more content/modding kicks off

Thanks for those points.

I've only played 2 hours or so.

I find the game ok but the UI is kinda weak. Military and war is very underwhelming.

Hopefully, with DLC/patches, things will improve.

I think military got better after the 2 hour mark; I was involved in multiple wars- main downside was how easy it was to destroy cities. One turn to destroy the wall, one to destroy the city. Cities need a bit more HP- and then you could open up more complex battle interactions. I do wish is it had missiles,

How long time one round represent? If one turn in 20 years, then one round is enough to break walls!

True, It just seems very fast.

I dont think realism is the biggest thing here though, because battles between two armies may take 3-5 turns. 100 years for one battle also seems like too much
