Looms? What do?
The description says they provide +200% Crafting Production to all crafting improvements in the city. That sounds ridiculously strong, but they don't actually seem to be doing what it sounds like they should be doing. I have three weavers in a city, each with a loom equipped, and not only is there no visible benefit to any of my other crafting improvements, but there also doesn't seem to be any benefit to the weaver itself. They just seem to do nothing. Not sure if I'm missing something.

I agree with this I feel like there might be a few things like this that are bugged and or the tooltip is wrong. There are some buffs that obviously work and some that don't have any visible impact at all, Off the top of my head none of the others are comeing to me but looms is certainly one of them

I also checked if it was production improvements toward "building productivity" for "craft building", and it didn't do anything also...

I also noticed it,it did not do anything

Guessing it's a bug. I'd assume the loom is supposed to provide a bonus (probably 20%) to the crafting production of the weaver it's installed in. Doesn't do anything at the moment though.

I just checked, yeah, does not work. Good catch. I even forwarded it a turn and still it does nothing. The Wheel and the Expert are accounted for, but NOT the Loom. The Accelerants and all other things also work. So it is not a design flaw, its a bug with the loom. Again, great catch

Looms are bugged, yeah.

They were most likely supposed to give +200% Crafting Production to the improvement you place them in, but something went wrong and they end up doing nothing.

Same with the stable.
It should give me a bonus to "harvest production" for animals in my city, but it doesn´t.
Not even when it is right next to the horses.
Whether there is a farm on the horses or not, doesn´t change anything.

Installing a loom in my weaver doubled the rate of cloth production. I'm not saying it's not bugged, just that it worked as advertised for me in my current game.

hmm alright well how to get looms and stables elevated to bug reports?

The Devs are doing all kinds of good stuff. I had an old save game I pulled up to check and see if Looms to see if they fixed them -- they are still not working. I do not research Weavers anymore in my latest playthroughs. Other than that - this is GREAT.

Great game BUT riddled with little things like this that are throwing the balance off, research is wackadoodle right now. I have zero research buildings and negative research but am still racing through the ages and can barely keep up with manufacturing. At least this explains why my peasants are still poorly clothed peasants.......

Its easy to make clothes. Use tanners to make fur and make one weaver to use that to make fabric.

use the fabric to boost cloths production rate.

Resources you get in this game are king, with fabric you can get 1500% production speed just from fur/cotton/silk combo

As of right now, my loom seems to be providing a reasonable boost to the weaver’s production specifically.

I wonder if some boosts are capped or mutually exclusive. In the brewery there is 3 slots for stuff but you only benefit from one slot at a time
