Coop team multiplayer?

I only see online pvp. Will there be online coop too? If not, this is a no-go for me and my group.

No, there isn’t, it just wouldn’t work, as with every other 4x games. You can play as seperate countries and synergize together to work as basically one.
If that’s a no go, play Anno 1800 instead, it has what you are looking for.
Stellaris allows you to have 2 players on one country as well.

You mean like in Civ? in Teams?

We do not currently support team-based multiplayer, but there are a variety of ways to customize your multiplayer experience that allow you to experience the full game and avoid conflict with other teammates.

Really? Played team games on Civ quite a few times. It was fun. And you can assign teams even in a single player game.

I'm not sure if he means literal teams as in 2 countries are part of a permanent alliance and are forced to work together, or he meant where 2 people play on the same country.

If there is no coop team multiplayer, this game will be a skip for me and my group then. I hope your reconsider this in the future.
