Windows 11 update broke my game

I had an update for Windows 11 a couple days ago. Since that update, I cannot play this game at all. It freezes on the intro screen and hard locks my computer; I have to force shutdown. I have 11th gen Intel i9-11900KF, 32GB ram, and RTX 3070 graphics card. I don't use HDR, and my graphics drivers are up to date. I have no idea what is causing this

So sorry to hear about the issue. The recent update may have reset some settings on your computer.

Please double-check that the game is still using your main GPU (your RTX 3070) and hasn’t switched to an embedded one. You can also try disabling HDR, even if you don’t normally use it, as the settings might have changed with the update.

I do not have an embedded gpu and don't use HDR, but I verified HDR just in case, and it is off. I have tried reinstalling the game and running as administrator. It still freezes and locks my computer on the opening video

If the computer is hard locked, it's some sort of kernal level issue. I don't think reinstalling the game would make a difference. I'd try clean installing the driver (I don't recall how to do this with NVidia,) clearing your Shader cache in the driver panel, or even trying to roll back to an older driver. You should also try deleting the shader cache file for the game which would be AppData\Local\Ara History Untold\ShaderCache.pso.

Tried again today after the patch. I was able to get in. Hopefully it stays that way :)
