[SOLVED] Sleeping Dogs crashes when i start playing.
Topic Updated !
Solution:
.. The following lines were wrote by AssassinKID , so I'm not the guy who found the solution, all that belong to him..

1. Kill the game with Task Manager and exit Steam.

2. Now go to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SleepingDogs\redist\" and delete the following files: "D3D11Install_2010.exe", "vcredist_x86.exe", "D3D11InstallHelper.dll"

3. Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SleepingDogs" and delete "HKShip.exe", "d3d11.dll" and "dxgi.dll"

4. Now start Steam, right click on "Sleeping Dogs" and select "Properties" then "Local files" then "verify integrity of game cache" and wait until finished (this step downloads and replaces the files you deleted before)

5. Go to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SleepingDogs\redist\DXRedist"

6. Run "DXSETUP.exe" (this copied some files even though my directX was already latest version)

7. Go up one folder to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SleepingDogs\redist" and run "vcredist_x86.exe", choose "Repair".

8. Go back to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SleepingDogs", right click on "HKShip.exe" and choose "Properties" > "Compatibility", check "Run as Administrator" and "Run this program as: Windows 95" or "98/Me".

For the record I did not find anything to solve this problem. I ended up uninstalling the game, but I really did enjoy my time with it.

This fixed it for me after following the steps tho i didn't "Run this program as: Windows 95" or "98/Me" cause it was causing shuttering.:happymeat:

Thanks
if it still dosent work, keep all the same but "changing to windows 95/98" itll get you to the title screen if it helps :/

What helped me was: As i have OC card by default Asus OCed edition of GTX 570 i downed the clock speed with MSI Afterburner to nonOC card value and it seems to stopped .. i got the idea from just cause 2 which was crashing all the time until i´ve done this .. the card is not overheating either way .. it´s just somethig it did in just cause 2. So i´ve tried it .. and it did the classic thing when after couple of minutes it asks if i want to switch windows theme i clicked no and dont ask .. switched to fullscreen (alt+enter) and played for couple hours no problem .. Worth to say i hadn´t have problems running the game it started and run no problem, it just crashed after 10-30 minutes. And what i described fixed this for me .. hopefully it will help someone as well :)

It's Square Enix's. BTW, check to see if you meet recommended requirements, not minimum, I think that's part of it. I got a new computer a while back, and it runs perfectly on it, but not my laptop.

Most people who are annoyed with the game not running will be annoyed that it dosent work and will try to do anything to fix it, the easiest to fix and the most litely problem is questioning is your pc is good enough, both me and a friend of mine's pc's reach the reccomended requirements, if not overshoot them

I tried to do the stuff recommended but my game still crashes randomly. Hopefully this gets fixed with the definitative edition.
