New DLC: Wheels of Fury
Looks pretty cool, but does anyone know when will it be available on Steam? Or is it going to give you Triad XP? I would need one more level in Triad XP, but I finished the game :(...

It's out now for sure, but I'm having some issues with it. The first mission is you're in a car gunning down bikers, but that's the only mission for me. You get a lot of triad xp.

I hope you could solve the problem! If yes, tell me that is it worth the money for it or not? I am thinking on buying 3 DLC-s for the game, The "Swat pack", "Zodiac Tournament" and this "wheels of fury". This 3 seems OK, but all the other DLC-s are not fitting in the storyline, or just cheats/clothes/cars...

Okay, so I got it wrong. I downloaded two dlc yesterday, the triad enforcer one (which I accidently claimed to be the wheels of fury) and the wheels of fury. Both give Triad xp. The car in the wheels of fury I don't like, because for some reason when you hit a small curb the car tries to flip. Like you'd be drifting a corner and hit the smallest of curbs and the car tries to flip. The triad enforcer dlc I like, you get a new outfit and a last man standing match. Basically you have your golden clever(which doesn't break after a few hits) and you kill as many thugs as you can before you die. Well in the beginning I accidently threw my golden clever and it disappeared forever. I killed 300 guys before I got bored and let them kill me.

I also have the nightmare in north point dlc and the zodiac tournament. Zodiac tournament was a lot of fun, I liked it a lot and recommend it. The Nightmare in North Point was fun too, but I didn't like the bad guys in it because they just hop around to move. Kind of annoying. The Swat pack I hear gives 20 new missions, which I may buy myself.

In short, I do recommend these dlc but there are some things I don't like about them. They make the game last longer for sure, but once you're done with the main storyline I feel like there's not much to do. Know anything about that dlc where it says something along the lines of "Once you're done with the triads, take on 3 other gangs."? It's the one where your tattoos change.

OK, thanks for the heads up!
I think it is the Gangland Style pack what you are talking about, but I suspect it only gives you different tattoes, and it's not giving any missions...

I really enjoyed the mentioned packs, NiNP I found the expansion/enemies fun, meant to be like a fantasy satire horror, taken seriously but not too seriously. WoF the car just takes some getting use to (four wheel drive and all), but I like the contrast of it along with working with the other different ones in the game. (tip, the ram button can also double as a maneuver button as well (and/or provide an extra oomf...), motorcycles give an extra oomp if you pop a wheelie before a ramp spot). Gangland Style pack that phase was just a play on words, referencing that each of the three tattoo sets related to one of the different gangs actual tat styles, so this is just a cosplay pack. Though think main character wei's default tat's are great.

Well it's a good thing I didn't buy the gangland dlc then, because I love Wei's tattoos. You're on to something there with the 4wd statement. I totally forgot about that! I have no idea how to do a wheelie on a motorcycle either. What buttons are those?

Amazing looking car. I hear it handles well?
klebimon Mar 9, 2013 @ 10:24pm
You can do it by pulling back on the keyboard control/joystick while accelerating. I discovered that there is also a degree of analog with the controller, and can manage popping up only half way. Then I could also do a stoppy by holding forward and then braking. Additionally, if you hit a ramp while turning, the bike would also twist in mid air in that direction as well, and it seems wei won't fall off so you don't have to worry about that if you land in an odd angle and twist away or what not. The GLpack well it would be optional and you can select which ones to tat on if/as one wants. This pack was created around the time of the popularity of the gangland style dance and cleverly named to coincide. Its just cosplay, but to each their own in what they would like or not, the 'option', etc.are available with various things.

Car handles differently, it takes a little getting use to but in a good way and for the better. Its a nice contrast and I like to pace myself between the varying vehicles in the game. It feels an behaves like it should imo/ime, once upgraded up to whats been fore-mentioned (4WD, suped up robotcop car :)) I like the contrast using it back along with the others to cruise around with. But there's only one way to get what I mean and experience it for yourself. :)

You can assign it to valet (if you trust him with it) an then have it easily delivered to ya, and as another tip, with this or any other assigned, call up the valet, then after you hang up, if you are/get inside a vehicle before they get there, he will actually stay inside the vehicle and not come out until you do, then you could have him follow you around like a lunatic, play with it as you will. Another thing, once you call him up and let them come to you, if your quick to get inside of the car they bring before they get out then you can roll with em in the reversed passenger side. Just some tidbit nuances for ya's.

I had that happen in a mission once. I was supposed to hijack the car but I caught up to him in the beginning and instead he just drove me around for a long time. It was fun.

So I was driving around with the car a lot, I got used to it. Pretty fun once you get used to how it handles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJR8bYCczM8&feature=youtu.be

If you're stuck on triad XP (as I was), you really don't need new content. You can replay missions. I got a LOT by doing this. There are some advice threads already on what, where, and why. That said, some of the DLC are pretty fun, so if you want them, have at it!

You have to complete the missions first (I think it gives you 5 missions) to get the car.

But why is it on sale right now? The last Sleeping Dogs DLC is coming out only next week :(...
