Why is always raining?
I dont know a lot about China, But my game is always raining, its normal?
I just enter to the game to sleep and watch if it change, but no. maybe I just need to spend some time playing, but the only thing I left to do are the hidden missions, and you need a sunny day to do some of them.

I send Shen to sleep like 20 times, probably its not a solution.

yep its pretty cool. the wet textures are nice. stealing umbrellas for aggressive purposes is funny. the problem is when you need a sunny day

Yeah I get this alot too. Everyday it seems to rain, you might have a few hours here and there where its sunny for a bit or at least not raining but the majority of the time its pouring out.

While it looks nice, no arguements there, one style of weather is getting old fast.

I think I might have noticed a pattern in the weather changing cycles in game.I can spend days of playthroughs where it just won't rain a single drop, and there are days when the game will cycle from sunshine to moody to rainy modes, and I think it short of is connected to what kind of quest or activity you are currently pursuing.

I never thought about it but most of my time in the game was spent without any rain. I know this because every time it rains I stop as I become mesmerized with the visuals ;)

Maybe sleeping doesn't move the weather clock.

Yes,game is a total charmer when rainy, isn't it?As for time progression while sleeping,I think you are propably right. If you remember from the "tutorial" of the last Grand Theft Auto game, you were informed that sleeeping will save your game, and adavnce game time by six-if I do remember well-hours,i.e. the game informed you of it's feature.Where as in Sleeping Dogs, time progression upon saving on the character waking up and getting up from bed, does not look implemented.

I am guesing just game design choice?

finally I go out, play one tournament and the rain was over. after a minutes it back ¬¬ so this time I have to do 2 tournaments and random ♥♥♥♥ in the city to get a sunny day again.

I dont really know why the weather clock doesnt change while sleeping, maybe they try to emulate the real world (you cant evade a rainy day).

Heh,I understand entirely. This is short of a far of speculation, but I mostly tend to believe that the main reason for so much rain incidents in the game is to enhance atmosphere and visual style. And,it's working like a charm!

I love it when it rains, night or day it looks amazing, really immersive, and yea it rains a lot, almost half of the time.

It's just plain lovely, but it was the fianl nail on the coffin that forced me to turn off any kind of antialiasing in the game,as it made driving a short of a slideshow nightmare.
