Controller / Keyboard + Mouse switching issues

Is anyone else having problems with their controllers? Keyboard and mouse work fine when input devices are set to ''Keyboard/Mouse" or "Auto Swap", but my (original) 360 controller is not working in-game when set to the latter option. Changing it to "controller" only lets me navigate the main menu but as soon as i start or resume my game nothing works.
Restarting the game the first time this issue occurred after changing input devices fixed it, but after changing this setting again (i wanted to be able to use both input devices whenever i felt like it) even restarting the game doesn't do anything.
So again, is their anyone that has or has had this problem as well and is there a way to fix it or at least a way around the issue?

I play most of time with the xbox360 controller, but the keyboard control still works fine, maybe its a driver problem, its a wireless or wired joypad?

Wired, with the most recent MS drivers.
I isolated the problem to the mouse being the one one that causes it. When set to auto-swap the controller does work as long as you do not touch the mouse. When you do it switches over to these controlls and the onscreen button layout changes but it doesn't want to change back to controller anymore. You have to change the control input to "controller", exit and restart the game, and the controller works again.
Very strange and annoying.

I had some similar problem with the wireless pad ( but only need to exit to menu and change from here, not close the game), but solved using the other wired pad, im sorry if its not the problem i can't help :(

Well, i got it to work again, but only the controller. I'd be happier if i got just switch during gameplay. Fighting and driving with the controller and when shooting is important switch over to the mouse.
