Missed meeting Amanda = not getting the Jade Statue mission?

I seem to have missed meeting Amanda this play-through (already done the Mini-Bus racket mission and the mission where you meet Popstar), I'm not worried about that so much as I am the fact that when you meet her it ends up at Sifu's. Is it possible to do the Jade Statue collection and thus get the improved fighting abilities IF you never meet Amanda?

Or should I just torch this play-through and start over?

Some missions require going to to bed and sleeping before ANY additional mission is unlocked. This is certainly the case with "Amanda".
To unglitch "Amanda", replay "Stick up and delivery" in social hub, then sleep, manually save in blank save slot and load that save.
To avoid this and similar bugs in the future, make a habit of sleeping at your safehouse before saving and avoid using autosave as much as possible. Manual saves are your friends.

As for starting a new game (should always be a last resort), before doing so, backup and delete all save files first. Otherwise, glitches carry over to a new game.
