PS4 controller problems (solved)

I've not found anything on here that provided a decent answer. I've spent the last 24 hours searching for a solution to the problems you get when trying to play the game with a DS4 and emulator software. Anyway today, by luck, I stumbled on this and thought I would share so others aren't left pulling their hair out. This is if you're using a DS4 with XI Input.

"Here is a workaround:
Exit Steam completely, connect the DS4, open the XI Input tool, select "Hide DS4 controller", restart Steam. Should work perfectly now."

DS4 windows is not even needed anymore as Steam supports Playstation Controllers through Big Picture Mode as of October 8th.

Dude, it's 2023 and I still had this problem, even with Big Picture. Thanks for this workaround!
