Canonical list of DLC missing from "Sleeping Dogs Collection"
Right now:

1. The base game costs $3.99
2. The "Sleeping Dogs Collection" costs $7.99, *includes* the base game, but is *missing* some DLC.
3. The "Sleeping Dogs DLC Collection" costs $6.99, is *missing* the base game, but has *all* of the DLC.

So, which DLC is *missing* from the "Sleeping Dogs Collection" that is *included* in the comprehensive-but-no-base-game "Sleeping Dogs DLC Collection"? I'm glad you asked:

Deep Undercover
Drunken Fist
Gangland Style
GSP Pack
Law Enforcer
Martial Arts
Nightmare in North Point
Police Protection
Square Enix Character

And what are those DLC all about? Check it out:

http://www.reddit.com/r/sleepingdogs/comments/18wdu7/sleeping_dogs_dlc_quick_guide/

So, what's missing is: one Story DLC ("Nightmare in North Point"), two Mission DLC ("Police Protection Pack" and "Martial Arts Pack"), three Weapons and moves DLC ("Drunken Fist Pack," "GSP Pack," and "Square Enix Character Pack"), and three Cosmetic DLC ("Deep Undercover Pack," "Gangland Style Pack," and "Law Enforcer Pack").

If you don't care about missing those DLC, then get "Sleeping Dogs Collection" for $7.99.

But if you want those DLC (and everything else), then get "Sleeping Dogs" base game and "Sleeping Dogs DLC Collection" for $3.99+$6.99=$10.98.

And, of course, if you don't care about DLC at all, just get the base game for $3.99.

And now you can make your decision...

Even the ones listed as missing? Because even on the store page it doesn't list them as being a part of it unless they forgot to update it or you accidentially got them from somewhere else.

Yes, I received the missing ones too. I think they forgot to update the list.

Claíomh Dorcha,

Yes, that's what you said in this thread:

http://steamcommunity.com/app/202170/discussions/0/540739861552124438/

I have no reason to doubt you. But there might have been a glitch in your particular case that got you all the DLCs. What we should wait for, perhaps, is for someone else to come forward and testify that what happened to you happened to them as well. Then it would be extremely unlikely that this is just some glitch in your particular purchase, and more likely that this is some oversight on Steam's part that will apply to all purchasers of the "Sleeping Dogs Collection".

I guess what I'm saying is that I'm not sure others should rely just on your single experience here, when making their purchase decision. They should wait for confirming evidence that this is a more general phenomenon. I have every reason to think you got all the DLC, however! That's cool! :deadmanshead:

You have got a point. Let see whether anyone other than me recieved it too. But I still beleive they forgot to update the list. This would be unfair to those who didnt recieve all the dlcs.

I posted in another thread that, according to a few posts here -

http://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/comments/241h16/steam_daily_deal_sleeping_dogs_80_off_399/ch2nlnl

- the $8 collection does have all the dlc, but the store doesn't list it all for some reason.
Yeah I'm waiting to see if anyone else can confirm this as well, I might bite the bullet though and see for myself after work.

I just realized something. Let's say someone follows Claíomh Dorcha's example, and buys the "Sleeping Dogs Collection" and gets *all* DLC (and the base game) for $7.99. That would be cool, and cheaper than the $10.98 route to game+all DLC that I described above.

But let's say they *don't* get all the DLC, and instead get what's officially advertised on the Steam page, and so they're missing the DLC above. Well, given the 80% sale, that missing DLC can be purchased separately for only $5.31:

Deep Undercover .59
Drunken Fist .39
Gangland Style .39
GSP Pack .59
Law Enforcer .39
Martial Arts .59
Nightmare in North Point 1.39
Police Protection .59
Square Enix Character .39

That will make their total $13.30 ($7.99+$5.31). Yeah, that's $2.32 more than the $10.98 route above, but it's only $2.32!

So that's the risk you take if you buy the "Sleeping Dogs Collection": if you get all DLC (like Claíomh Dorcha did), you will have saved $2.99 (you spent $7.99 rather than $10.98 for the same stuff). But if they *weren't* included, buying them separately only costs you $2.32 more than the $10.98 you could have spent (a total of $13.30).

So buy the "Sleeping Dogs Collection" for $7.99 if you don't care about possibly forking over another $5.31 if it doesn't work out.

(The complexity of my posts are, of course, a wry, ironic commentary on the state of DLC in the games industry today! :dealwithit:)
Alright just bought it and can confirm that all unlisted DLC *IS* included. =D

Thanks, jhanson.iv!

So, unless some Square Enix rep reads this thread and reports it to Steam to motivate a correction, I guess everyone is good to go :-)

I had a second thought before purchasing the Sleeping Dogs Collection, that I should get the base game + DLC Collection. Thats what I did while purchasing Tomb Raider. I was in the verge of getting a loss of 3 dollars.

Nothing to do with Steam. It is the COMPLETE Collection. Square Enix just forgot to update the store listings, that's all!

I know it has nothing to do with the steam. But its misleading since a guy bought the base + DLC Collection and he was completely unaware of this.

Also wanted to confirm, I bought the sleeping dogs collection and it does include all dlc, listed and unlisted, available for the game.
