Virus reported in Sleeping Dogs update file

I am using Bitdefender for Windows 8. Today I restored Sleeping Dogs from a Steam backup, and at the end of this Steam attempted to download a 7.4MB file. Bitdefender popped up and said a virus was found in the file hkship.exe, and it had been successfully disinfected.

Now there is a permanent file update in the Steam Downloads, which cannot complete past 7.1MB, assumedly BD is blocking it or something. I took a screenshot and have the virus details in the BD logs.

Will a mod or dev see this, or is there a better place to report it?

i think its a false positive, BD is most likely just playing tricks on you mate

Solution: Uninstall BitDefender and just use Microsoft's Windows Defender that is native/baked into Win8.

I used to use BitDefender years ago, until one of their updates caused mass quarentine of all windows system files. http://www.pcworld.com/article/192000/article.html

Set an exception in your antivirus's scanning and point it to Sleeping Dog's directory.

Thanks all, I know how to identify a false positive and bypass, it, appreciate the suggestions. In this case BD named, extracted and quarantined a virus from a specific file. I'll exclude it then upload it to a couple of different online scanners.
