Movement controls clunky!
First off thank god for Demos, I've played 30 minutes of the demo, and so far I've been impressed, this game has a very good martial arts combat system, and graphics are good as well, though the one thing that bothers me is the movement controls, they seem so unrefined, and inaccurate, I can walk around well enough but when I break out in a sprint I have a large turn radius, which often times leads me to run into walls, and occasionally in hand to hand my guy will go the opposite direction of the intended target!!

Is this just the gameplay mechanics? or is it because I'm using a Keyboard/Mouse?

I'm playing with Keyboard/mouse as well and I remember how much the controls take getting used to. And yes, from time to time they are annoying and the game does ♥♥♥♥ you didn't mean to do and all that.

But I'd say, it's worth the few moments of frustration. The game is great fun and most of the time, the controls aren't that much of an issue ;)

Use a gamepad, problem solved.

No problems with gamepad. I can't play long hours using keyboard and mouse in old age, it causes hand pain. This game, I think, might have been one of the games people were complaining about mouse acceleration but I'm not sure.

For cornering whilst sprinting, don't just use the mouse, use the A or D keys at the same time. With that method, you'll turn corners much more effectively.

I tried the demo and didn't buy the game because of the sloppy control while sprinting. I'm not aware if the main game has a mouse accel setting.

This is the first game in a loooong history of gaming (yes first system was an intelevision...PONG!!!) that I actually beat it and got 100% on.

I use mouse and keyboard as well and I decided to fire it up again today and do another play through. I got my butt handed to me due to mistiming and what you decribe as "clunky" controls.

It's not as bad as you think it is. Like others mentioned, it just takes getting used to. After about 30 minutes into it, I got the hang of the controls again and was able to breeze through those first few fights.

It is a fun game once you get used to how the controls react and (If your from America or similar driving country) once you learn to drive on the wrong side of the road...lol
