Patch 1.0.2.2
This patch will be coming on Feb 27th 2013 at about 13:00 (1pm) EST. That's the same general time as other steam updates. Unfortunately it will break all save games (in game saves, not your campaign progression). This was unfortunately necessary as we did a lot of fixes. This post is here to give anybody the time to finish up their act before getting the update.

FIxes of Note:
- Resolution problems should all be fixed.
- Multiplayer (coop and skirmish) is much more stable.
- Fixed crashes when saving a game.
- Saves, and campaign progression are now saved with or without steam cloud, and the game is available if you play offline.

Tweaks of Note:
- Squads now go directly to the world map when going to a raid. (no more walking through the dungeon)
- Progression Tooltip indicates if there's anything unfinished in that act (go in and quit to update the info)
- Units regain Aggressiveness up to 50% when Idle (not walking, not attacking).

There are of course many other fixes and tweaks which were done, but they are not as important. To alleviate the use of the kitchen, units not moving regain a little aggressiveness. We have figured something out with the ladder issues, and will be adding it to the next patch. We're doing a lot of work in the multiplayer in order to improve the experience.

Known Issues:
- "Dark Halls": This is an issue with AMD/ATI video cards. Please set SmoothVisionHD to application setting
and the bug should go away.
- Units escaping emprisonment might behave oddly or not move at all
- Multiplayer (co-op campaign and skirmish games), though fully featured, remains in beta-status. Some surface scratches have to be polished.
- Crashes may occur at the end of or during a skirmish game.

We appreciate everybody being patient with, you are a tremendous help at making Impire a success.

This is encouraging news. Thanks to you all for your diligence and your commitment to fix what's not working correctly. I would still suggest a rebalance to the DEC system is in order - the cost of upgrades which are arguably necessary for survival precludes the use of Runes, for many players, myself included.

Yep, the patch / fix you can in the pipe smoking, so a nonsense, it was time and again not really a pity because the game really makes capricious, but like any game coming out this mostly incomplete, shame shame.

So... I'm currently in Act 1 Chapter 4, and can't load the save without a crash. What do you recommend as the best course, to proceed? Start over, after the patch tomorrow?

Either play through the mission in one go or wait until the patch. Remember, your campaign progress will still be there- you will only need to restart the latest mission.

Ok, thanks. The distinction between saved campaign progress and the saved game is hazy to me. Ah well, tomorrow is soon enough. If I understand you, the "mission" is the "chapter", at which point my campaign progress will be autosaved and all will be well? I'll probably start over anyway, since it's been some time since I played and I've learned enough to make it worthwhile. Any chance we'll have multiple save slots tomorrow?

Still crashes, still saves not working.

I agree, before mine only crashed on loading a save, now 3 minutes of playing after loading a save it crashes. Four times in a row, ok now save works then kills it....sorry devs a game released in this fashion is a disgrace, it should still be in beta not RC. As you can see from the recent number of forum posts , which have decreased , public interest in this game has soured, to the point of disinterest. I only wished either you devs had a better QA process or less pressure from your publisher. I tend to believe the second , based on the history of this publisher and its treatment of its game devs. I wish you the best in the future games.

A new crash has come after my game has updated, UNhandled Exception erro has occured. No other details or error code etc is shown. Is there a log file which i can send you ?

Apparently I was one of the lucky few to not receive any crash dumps with a save, now with the new patch that has changed. Mission 2:3, as soon as I hit dungeon rank ten and the encounter for a massive raid begins, audio drops sync for a moment and a crash dump occurs shortly after.
