I'm also hoping they remake the previous games like they're doing with 3 right now before they release them on steam, since all the different versions seem to have improvements over the others in some way.
And the Game is very good and full of Dragon Quest love.
I hope the next one is the new monsters for Steam.
Dq3 is getting the 2d hd Remaster not 1 to 3.
Saying that I do hope 1 to 9 come out. Maybe in 3 packages of 3.
I think Nintendo itself is the issue more than se. Licensed contracts way back. Many snes nes ips of that era have not made it to pc yet. And no sequels ever made for many.
For the record dqx offline does have a price if you add it to wishlist. Unlike other jp restricted games. And dqx offline is playable globally after you purchase it through jp region.
This... I loved the series, I always have and I always will... I've been with it since the 90s. Also Square if you are reading this.. PLEASE make more Monsters series and bring it to the west.
Why not. I put 400 hours into it. Japanese language is so 1990. Today you can put an app on deck or pc to translate all. Or use a smart phone.
The game has insane content, great storyline and you can either beat the first two chapters, do extra content, or finish, or move your progress over to the online version.
One should play dqx offline for stories alone
And there is no saying they wont add chapters 3 to 6 later.
Gamers played trails games years before translated, and even the newest released games still jp only but people play. So it's a mute concern.
Lastly one day a mmo will go offline and one can still play a good portion of this game.
As for why not localized. Probably 2 reasons insane text to do. Not worth the cost and more importantly no contract with a publisher to handle the mmo. If say Amazon stepped up then we could talk.
I wonder the same and additionally, I wonder why they don't make a new Dragon Quest Builders game... That, or just release the first game on Steam.
I'd prefer either over Heroes or whatever nonsense this newest entry is supposed to be.
