🚨 Future of "Lost Life:Origins" 🚨

Big changes are coming to Lost Life:Origins with latest patch and updated DEMO to latest build, game goes into the next development stage.

❗ There will be no content update for some time. (Maybe only small fixes if something game breaking is found.)
▪ I will continue making locations for Act 3 on live streams. (On YouTube and Twitch every Saturday.)

▪ But in my free time I will be focusing on making multiplayer mode.
▪ That means that all game logic will be rebuilt from the ground up to support multiplayer mode and single-player story mode and improve the overall quality of the game.
▪ Considering Act 3 locations, they will be firstly added little by little to multiplayer mode for testing and optimizations. With that completed, single player story mode will be added to them.

First stage multiplayer planned to have features like :

▪ 4 player coop survival mode.
▪ Base-shelter for players. (Upgradable in the future.)
▪ Food, drink, temperature stats.
▪ Clothing that will affect resistances and temperature.
▪ Different types of damage with unique effects on player. (Toxic, poison, fire, electric, bleed etc.)
▪ In game radio that will play music based on location.
▪ In game chat.
▪ Small portion of Act 3 locations and Act 1-2 locations will be added overtime.
▪ Dynamic day and night system with weather.
▪ Collectables system. (Will affect in game events and player stats.)
▪ Bestiary. (Learning about enemies will help you in combat.)
▪ Levelling system. (Will allow you to improve characteristics of your character.)
▪ A couple of enemy types to try out combat and other features.
▪ New user interface.

Planned features for future multiplayer expansion:

▪ More player slots for servers.
▪ More player models with better quality.
▪ Player customizations.
▪ Base-shelter upgrades.
▪ Workstations in hideout. (Crafting stations, upgrade stations, storage, etc.)
▪ Weapon mods. (Silencers, scopes, magazine, flashlight, etc.)
▪ Levelling system expansion with collectable items.
▪ Weapon mods expansion with collectable items.
▪ Drivable vehicles.
▪ Vehicle upgrades/modification stations.
▪ Upgradable workstations/rooms in the shelter. (Crafting stations, upgrade stations, storage facilities, etc.)
▪ Resources gathering. (Metal crates, wood crates etc. for upgrades.)
▪ World map with drawing possibility.
▪ Dungeon like locations with valuable loot. (Tunnels, mines, factories.)
▪ More unique enemy types.
▪ Locations of an alternative world.
▪ Dynamic locations of the alternative world.
▪ More hideouts that players will have to find and capture.
▪ Ability to fast travel between hideouts.
▪ Missions with story elements.
▪ Different item rarity.
▪ Vendor NPCs.
▪ Lock picking.
▪ Bossfights.

❗ At this point of development, I'm still figuring out what I can possibly make and making a proof of concept build of the game. And it looks like I can do everything I've planned.
Most of the multiplayer features will be used in single player mode too, so it will make it easier to work on them both without making separate features for modes.
❗ So how long it will take? Who knows, but I'm planning on making the first playable multiplayer version by the end of the year.
❗ Multiplayer will be added to the base game without DLC or FTP nonsense. I'm making it for fun and not for money!

🛠 Fixed shortcut in the Act 1 school, it was breaking loading of the mansion if player exited school before going to the mansion.
🛠 Fixed Act 2 Hospital room key bug.(Key use button wasn't detecting door, but you still could open it by double-clicking on the key)

🛠 Improved world partition loading of the world... everything is separated in 3 groups (buildings, medium objects and small props) and groups will load objects based on distance to player. (in most areas, object count went down 2 times and that should improve performance greatly)
🛠 Lumen is off by default and is not recommended for play.
🛠 Texture size optimization to save some disc space and video memory.
🛠 Player ghost now spawns correctly in Act 2.
🛠 Fixed Secret keys duplicate.
🛠 Second Crumpled Note now received as it should after police cutscene instead of hospital map cutscene.
🛠 Fixed heat effect after police if autosave was loaded.

🛠 Reworked World map loading system. (Load time decreased from 20+ seconds to ~2 on my PC (Also should improve performance))

‼ I apologize for lack of updates in past months. There were some stability issues that cause constant crashes and made the game unplayable. Now looks like that bug is fixed.
‼ In past months, I've been thinking a lot about the future of the project, story, concept of act 3 and game in general.
One of possible directions of the game will be adding multiplayer with survival co-op mode that will expand the world and lore of the game.
Act 1 and 2 is pretty big but with act 3 planned to be 4 times bigger with even more unique monsters. So, exploring it in co-op mode may give a really interesting online experience, while I work on new story elements for single player mode.

‼ Although I have been silent for a couple of months, the development of Lost Life Origins has been slowly progressing. There's been a lot of changes in my life, good changes and now everything is more stable, and I can spend a little bit more time on new content creation.

🛠 Fixed the siren in the Act 1 house. (The siren off trigger was placed incorrectly, allowing players to walk past it.)
🛠 Fixed the hints in the Act 1 mansion. (Some of them were missing after porting the project to UE5)
🛠 Fixed the missing collision in the Act 1 fence near the gas station.
🛠 Improved the walk animation for all monsters to prevent sliding around after slowing movement from damage.
🛠 The French translation is in progress. (23% of the game has been translated so far.)

🛠 In alternative school benches were removed by mistake… now they are back.
🛠 Now map tutorial is displayed when you pick up for the first time map.
🛠 Pressing "Tab" doesn't scroll through buttons in that window.
🛠 Fixed UI scaling. Now the UI should scale to your desktop resolution. While a 1080p 16:9 aspect ratio is still recommended, everything should also work with other resolutions.
🛠 Default resolution percentage has been lowered to 70%.
🛠 Nanite now is turned off by default. It may cause glitches and frame drops on some hardware or with incorrect video drivers.
🛠 Preparing and planning locations and logic for Act 3.
🛠 All texts have been prepared for French translation.
