How do I fix this bug?

I played on another laptop without this bug.
I think it was caused by functions of NVIDIA.

Delete 'systemdetection.dll' in the game folder.

I just bought the game, and im having the same issue.
I suppose it would be naive to even dream on ubisoft providing some support and fixing it, right?

I tried so long ago to refund because of this issue they wouldnt let me, thanks steam...

I had this exact same problem. Go into the files for ACR and delete this file:

"systemdetection.dll"

This will completely solve the problem. It worked for me.

Yea i had the same problem either rename the file or delete it.
I renamed it to "OLDsystemdetection.dll" just to be on the safe side
