On the plus side tho: AC Mirage looks like it's gonna bring back that AC1 / Revelations vibe? So that's cool at least :/
Edit: aaaaand the credits STILL haven't stopped XD
Codename (Red/Hex/Jade) can be, though. We have no idea what the engine will be, so maybe they will throw the levels thing out, and nerf equipment to be different only on the level of AC2/B/R. Just several characteristics, with few positions, and no perks.
I wouldn't be against upgrading equipment, but... in a nutshell, how I see it: there are weapons hidden in chests/sold, and there are blueprints hidden in chests, and each blueprint lets you upgrade the weapon (for free, or just for money, no materials), but that's not significant.
For example, if we take AC2 system of three parameters with six positions (0-5), blueprints would let you to upgrade one parameter by 1 point max. And a total of 3-4 blueprints per weapon. Well, maybe endgame blueprints which let you get each weapon to 5/5/5, just for the sake of letting you run around with any weapon, whichever you like visually, but those'll need to be obtainable only when you can normally get base 5/5/5 equipment.
The same thing goes for armor.
That said, in my opinion, all games that have credits should allow you to skip those credits if you so wish. There's nothing more annoying than having to watch the credits to the end when in this moment you just don't want to for whatever reason. It's almost as bad as unskippable cinematics in games where you either don't like the cinematics or when you're replaying the game for the 3rd time or whatever and can practically see the cinematics in full in your dreams by that point.
