Completed all 5 Desmond's Journey Levels at start of game.. How?

I just learned that you need to aquire 30 animus fragments to unlock the 5 desmond journey levels. Which is odd to me, because I completed all 5 immediately after tutorial before arriving in Constantinople.

I did not cheat/hack game in any way. Infact I did not even know about animus fragments until after I had finished all 5 (and got the achievements for it).

Any ideas why the game allowed me to perform and complete the 5 desmond journey puzzle levels before even starting the game proper?

It happened to me as well. It's no biggie as I'm up to seq 6 with approx 83% sync - uplay hasn't screamed at me yet.

yep finished the game with no issues. Was actually kinda nice to get them done all together right away. A bug that was beneficial.. how often does that occur.

About half way through AC3 currently

Do you have the Lost Archive DLC? I believe owning that DLC allows you to bypass the requirements for the Desmond's side quests.

I'm just guessing here since this issue started showing up after the DLC was released.

although couldnt get through the dlc.. i toughed my way through all 5 of desmonds journey's but, the idea of a few hrs of that for a dlc... realized I wasted 10 bucks and decided to just read the plot on assassins creed wiki.
