Stalkers Not Stalking

Decided to play the Ezio Trilogy again after half a decade or so.

I just finished Revelations, and I forgot all about Stalkers, and actually only ever found one in this playthrough -- on the roofs in the very first templar den I tried to take over. :-P I accidentally killed him too, and thought at first I'd killed a civilian until I saw his knife.

I beat the game this time around, and then kept playing, but never found another. I even got my Notoriety so high I was having Assassin's Dens being attacked. I'm killing guards in the open, picking pockets, etc, but I still have yet to see any other Stalkers after that only one.

I've heard there are other specific tricks to trigger them. I may try that.

But I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue. :-P I seem to remember many more in my first playthrough.

Maybe they're just scared of Ezio. ;-)

They spawn off-camera after 15 minutes or so. To make sure that Stalkers can approach Ezio, he needs to be standing in one place or casually strolling through the streets among the crowds. If you're constantly running either on street level or on rooftops, it's possible that they can't spawn at that moment or just despawn after you run away from them too quickly before they can even get near you and won't spawn until another 15 minutes of playtime pass (cutscenes, missions and Fast Travel restart the timer).
