I'm at at The Renegade memory when I'm about to fight the crazy dude. When I was about to kill him, my game crashes and displays this message. I tried loading in again but it keeps crashing everu attempt.

Same here. I want my 20EUR back, please. Or fix the damn game. So many crashes and bugs, I'm very... umm... annoyed, to say the least. :/

I'm going through the same situation, it's a shame because I was buying and zeroing the entire AC saga. Dai was excited about Ezio's story. Now with this I am unsure to buy AC3 on PC. Please somebody help us.

Just found the fix: play on 60hz instead 144. It worked for me.

Found a fix - go to task manager and instead of using all processors use only one. After the mission switch it back to all processors. Worked for me. Anyway the game should NOT be this buggy... AC3 seems to work fine for me. Good luck!

I do not quite understand, do I have to finalize all processors? I have several and it would be a long time. Do not have any automatic options? I have not found a way other than to press on "End Task" all the time. So should I leave any random process open and can I play the game?

Open task manager, Right-click on AC, and "Go to details". Right-click on AC again, and then "Set affinity". Check only one processor, do the mission, after that click "All processors" again. Worked for me. ;)

I can confirm going onto single core fixes the bug.

It looks like its the sounds_sfx.pck file inside the \SoundData\pc folder. If you move this elsewhere the game stops crashing but doesnt have any sound. Any ideias?

i just want to give a thank you 8 years later for this solution because i just ran into this bug and was really worried my save was screwed but this fixed it for me! <3
