Just download that file and attach it to the game directory and it will launch with the controller plugged in. Let me know if u guys need any more help
because when you start it loads a black screen and closes, I tried using your hint but it did not work: (
Telltale never fixes any bugs. It's a company trademark. They completely ignore their support forum and never acknowledge any bugs even if they are game save destroying bugs. It's unreal what they have gotten away with yet still seem to have a good name despite it.
Also, that fix allowed me to launch the game with my controller on but I still can't use it. When you say you got your controller to work, what kind of controller are you using? Most people use a 360 wireless or wired controller for PC gaming but many do use others like Logitech and Saitek branded controllers which work differently.
I then set gameplay to gamepad in the main menu, started a game and it worked.
I had to install the Win7 360 controller drivers before my controller would function. This is the only game I've ever had issues with running Win8. TellTale seems to be miraculously capable of producing bugs within their games.
