Lost my save games.

I ran into a weird problem, I started the game again after a few months of not playing due to no internet at my house (long story there). Anyways I beat the Fergus playthrough, and was maybe 1/3 done with the Wyatt one. It just says I can start a new game.

Here is a screenshot, it still says I'm on the leaderboard for friends but there's no kills or anything. It also seems to have deleted all of my collectibles and enigma code thingies.

I don't mind playing both campaigns again, because the game is good, just kinda annoying haha. Anyone know what could have caused this?? When I clicked the game in the steam library it said performing first time setup which I thought was just because I haven't played in a while.

Got the same problem, but my game crashed before and i've restarted my computer before launching again. Hope we'll find a solution. I was at almost 1/3 with Fergus also. It may be a bug with his version.

omfg almost 2 years and they didnt patch this bug?? today i lost save and perks, beac. this idiotic save crash!! So, only way to normal game is STARTING ON THE BEGINING?? this is fuc***g joke!!!

This game doesn't have cloud saves. If you want to be sure to preserve progress between installs then you need to do a manual baclup of your save.

Strange they haven't fied it after all those years of time.
Just lost save game again ...
They could easily fix this by having backup file.

i tried unlocked chapters save game from internet http://savegame-download.com/wolfenstein-the-new-order-save-game-100-pc/

luckily last "save" was at the begining of the chapter.,] but any way forward is helpful. i wouldn't play the game from the beginning. it's great but the invested time....-

How to install those saves?

Edit: forget about that. I thought the saves were in the Steam folder somewhere, but they aren't.

there is no bug. developers never added steam cloud save. not every game has cloud saves.
in steam library window, icons in upper right for detail. list. and grid view. click on list view.
the games with cloud icons have cloud save. this game does not have a cloud icon.

I don't understand your comment. This save folder sometimes gets accidentaly completely deleted. So it has to be bug or very strange feature :)

I bought the game in 2014. running win 7. have a dual boot pc. the game save files are still there on win 7 partition. did a clean install of win 10 on new drive in jun 2016. new save files are on new drive. and have never disappeared.

I havent tried power cycling the pc while the game is running - that might wipe the folder. but I have backups. HD/filesystem problems. malware. you wouldnt be running MS OneDrive - maybe your folders/files are in there. I turned it off.

if you really believe the game is erasing your folders/files, contact the devs. maybe you have some new hardware/software that is causing the game problems. I have win 10 with the fall creators update on 6 yr old hardware - nothing is disappearing. OneDrive was turned on in that recent MS update - I turned it off.
