Driver Issue Require 388.31 Detected 24.0

I just started getting this error. I'm running the latest stable version of Kubuntu. The game was running fine one day. I've even beaten the game on this computer. Now I'm getting this driver error. From what I can make out the 388.31 is a very old driver. I can't imagine mine isn't up to par. Any one been getting this? More importantly anyone else been able to fix this?

Follow up. I went to Start/System Setting/Driver Manager. Under Additional Drivers I changed the driver from x11 Nouveau to NVidia 550. The game work (sorta) and graphics looks good. Still acting a little flaky biut it's playable. FYI.
