Is this game racist towards German people?
I wanna play this game because it looks really fun and cool but I absolutely despise racism, especially in video games, a medium that's dear to my heart. I know this game is about Americans killing people in Germany, which probably sounded cool in 1980 but we're in 2025 now, and I don't find the idea of murdering Germans fun at all.

Should I just skip this game because it promotes racism towards Germans?

What the hell. This is totally unacceptable! Racism in 2025 can't even be considered a joke. I'm never buying this game and I hope the studio goes bankrupt for making such a game. Thanks for this, you helped me dodge a bullet there.

if you call killing nazis rasict, then yes
I really do love the Wolfenstein series, but to be honest it feels like I'm fighting on the wrong side whenever I play. Still a 10/10 game, much like The Old Blood and all the previous titles.

Yes, I trust you skipped it because it is about resisting an evil regime in a lifetime not your own that started a world war and tried to kill a race of people (six million Jews captured and killed, ...not white and black Americans or Russians or Polish or French or English). That's racist murder of people not German, so it might be better to not engage mentally this game's racial "what if?" underpinnings.

But seriously, again!, NOT allowing your peaceful countrymen to be slaughtered and taken as prisoners and your nation's assets (all) seized through mass murdering is not cool; it's simply sane self-defense. Could you pretend to kill Japanese soldiers, not because of their race, but because they were doing the same to the countrymen you'd have called brothers 80+ years ago, were you a person (you were not), in a game where history was fictitiously turned around and your nation was captured - lost to you and your's?

Isn't this game about trying to win a nation back after it was initially taken away? I just began it about an hour ago, so I'm not entirely sure. Look at the game's ad for the warplay story about these 2D Germans (aka faked) who took America for their's. That's the story. This game seems to be about those times, however rare, when an immoral victor has to rejoin a war with the same people that they started a war with and invaded and defeated it's military (eventually the civilian population too) forcing them into subugation.
