Cutscenes in slow motion, audio out of sync?
Hi all

As above really, I am having some issues with cut scenes in the game (notably the "choice" in chapter one) and the scene appears to play out in slow motion, with all audio and subtitles out of sync. I get the feeling this isn't supposed to happen. anyone else having the same issue?

yeah had it, It's a mixture of a driver issue and the game not being done right. (I wouldn't be surprised if it's caused by the FPS Lock)

Yeah, seems like the game can't get past a frame without processing it. This is only slightly better than RAGE was on release. I cannot believe this gets let through. Surely they had an AMD card around to try it on? It's not like my system is poor.

the annoying thing is when the game is behaving itself I actually quite like it.

Oh yeah they would have had an AMD Card (the consoles ;) ;) )

But the real issue is the compromises they make, all you gotta do is look at the DNA Rage Config maker just to show how far the game can be customised, and how lackluster the stock options are.

Happening to me too.

same here. its the only problem I have. Makes me think its the game and not my setup.

Try and turn V-synch off, that fixed it for me!

Confirming turning V-Sync off works for this issue. Thanks koen!

Turning V-sync off doesn't fix the issue for me. Have tried disabling it in Nvidia control panel and in the game options.

What is your fps, while playing?
Can you get it to run at 60 fps, and check if that works?
Bakey May 26, 2014 @ 2:55pm
I didn't check fps in the end but wanted to bump this topic because the problem has resolved itself for me. Since my GeForce drivers updated to 337.88 today I'm no longer having the audio de-sync and slowdown issues in the in-game cutscenes. So I'm guessing there's something in the new drivers that can fix the issue on some systems.

Just bumping. I get the same issue with the 337.88 nvidia drivers, so it's either still something that's unresolved or some game/engine related issue.

turn off xfire. engine does not support multi-gpu. never will.

game should be fine to run on a single 7970M, hell it will run BETTER on a single GPU due to the engine not supporting Xfire. That is to say, it will look like it is working, but the experience will be MUCH better on a single card, much smoother, less texture pop, n stuff. will likely clear up the slowmo rendered cutscenes.

So has anyone ever found a fix for this? Turning V-sync off fixes it, but then I have to deal with insane screen tearing. :/

I solved this by updating my drivers and disabling my secondary monitor. Played much better once I did that. Nice and smooth now.
