Game specs, surface pro 2

Just in case there is anyone concerned about the i7/i5 debate, I have the game running very comftorably on Surface Pro 2, Core i5 with 4Gb ram, Intel HD 4400 mobile (from memory)

Hope this provides some help to someone on the fence about picking this up.

Crikey, that looks awful. Full disclosure at the start of the video 8 seconds in , there is an fps drop on mine, but nowhere near as bad as that.

Some things to consider, if using the video output you will loose FPS due to the rendering of dual screens, which is what I suspect he used to capture the image.

I do have doubts about his technical ability.When he mentioms about 720p resolution displayed as windowed, all that needs to be done is under compatibility settings disable scaling on high DPI settings. What is running in the background etc? On my setup I have the out of the box setup, with the addition of steam and the game running.

For me its very playable especially as the surface is a mobile device. You will never match current top spec hardware at reasonable prices. Don't expect 60 FPS, but do expect to run at reduced settings (low shadows etc).

I have an R9 290 and I can't run it at full specs even with the latest drivers. If i move or walk my fps go from 60 down to the mid 20's low 30's, however once i stop moving BOOM back to 60fps.....

Im just saying the graphic drivers are bugged out.

Being the person who posted the video i had no idea that the DPI scaling was unchecked until i had already released the video now after this i'm getting a steady 30 FPS.
Taken your comments on and am trying to create a channel to show off gaming content on the surface pro 2 trying being the key word. Will definetly in the future double check such settings before posting videos. Thanks.

No problem dude! I'm glad a solution was found and that you found your way here. DPI scaling causes 90% of my problems too, haha. Now I automatically just turn it off with all games, but occasionally I'll forget to do it and end up with monumental lag and only a quarter of my screen showing.

Now my next problem with getting this game is the HD space (well, SSD space ;-) ). I'm currently on about 500mb free on this, and this game's somewhere between 20 and 40gb I presume, so... hmmm...

Anyone had luck running this game on a portable hard drive, however vulgar that sounds?

Let's be fair here, DPI scaling is not your trick, most games check DPI scaling when they install on the Surface Pro more so origin games.

i was the first to dicover it, and the first to upload a video playing wolfestein on the surface pro really playable.
i think you should delete your video because can confuse the people and i think too, the steam comunity should be gateful
