Wolfenstein: The New Order

Wolfenstein: The New Order

Can't change resolution
After i used my hauppauge hd pvr2 gaming edition to record the gameplay since nvidia shadowplay didn't work, i reverted back to DVI-D to play in 144 fps again, but when i connected back, the resolution is now stuck at some inssane stuff... how can i fix this? Where is the location for the config for graphic settings?

I fixed it by just messing around, I changed to windowed mode, then went off of the video tab and back onto it and then it allowed me to change it. Hope it helps :)

Happened to me after installing new nvidia drivers. I just deleted the "WolfConfig.cfg" file in %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\MachineGames\Wolfenstein The New Order\base\wolfConfig.cfg. Works fine now.

go here C:\Users\#UserName#\Saved Games\MachineGames\Wolfenstein The New Order\base\ wolfConfig.cfg

[open wolfConfig.cfg in notepad edit line r_mode "19" = 1920*1080]
(Note: setting an ivalid number will give this error 214562x1293784)

Edit: Set desktop to desired resolution: open wolfConfig.cfg in notepad and remove command r_mode from the cfg file should force]
Note: make sure wolfConfig.cfg is set to read only once edited.

[make a backup of the wolfConfig.cfg]

This problem still seems to occur - at least on my pc - as of 2020: I couldn't change my default (ultra-wide) resolution to the 16:9 resolution I prefer for this type of game. If anyone wonders what some of the other pre-defined resolutions are (in addition to r_mode "19" mentioned above):

r_mode "20" = 1920x1200
r_mode "21" = 1920x1440
r_mode "22" = 2560x1080
r_mode "23" = 2560x1440

do the following, set the game to windowed and change the resolution, then press alt+enter and dont change anything else and voila, its fullscreen with the resolution you wanted

This doesn’t work for me, just automatically sets the game to Fullscreen Windowed at full resolution. I honestly can’t believe there’s no simple way to tell Windows to play my game pixel perfect /letterboxed. Very frustrating
