not installing after pre purchasing

hi guys havs anyone else here had the same problem as me with after purchasing the pre purchased game of wolfenstein the new order failing to install once your payment has been authorised?

It probably isn't available for pre-loading yet.

so steams happy to take your money but wont offer a installing option until the release date is that what you are saying?

Most games are like that, most aren't available for pre-loading until like 1 week from release. The game will be in the polishing off stage, so how can you download a game that hasn't even had the bugs ironed out yet. You really should do some research on pre-orders before you just drop your money on a product.

okies im not sure if its a normal thing but after i purchased it i had the option to install it immediately but when i clicked on it nothing happened thats all im saying. Steams never done this to me before even when ive bought games before they have come out into shops etc i have never encounted this problem before.

Pre-ordered fysical copy, special edition so naturally i cannot install the game yet ;)

Best thing to do is to contact steam support and they will give you the right information 100%, no hearsay.

I was going to say it was obvious that it wasn't released yet but the store page only says released may, which is misleading as all hell, you pre ordered the game op, click on your steam wallet at the top of your profile and then you can see you purchase history, on one of the tabs you can find wolfenstein and next to it it should say cancel pre ordered if you want your money back.

how you can download a game when is not availble yet , on release date you can do it. pre purchasing is like pre ordere. you can't install when is not ready yet.

Yeah, well, welcome to the concept of "pre-orders"

Pre-ordering simply means you reserved your copy of the game so that you'll have it as soon as it's released. The way Steam does it, usually you'll be able to pre-load it a few days before it's out. This is nothing new, and I truly don't understand why you're surprised by this.

The game will just automatically install when the game itself has been released. That's how pre-order works.

a pre-order means pay now and play later you can download it next month around 4 weeks time,
you do get 'Pre-Purchase now and get 2 exclusive Wolfenstein TF2 items along with access to the upcoming DOOM Beta when available on Steam...
