Barely a million sold - FLOP
The New Order has sold less copies than Wolfenstein '09 did, and that game was such a failure that Activision laid off employees involved in releasing that game. It's inevitable that when word gets out that your new game is a technical mess that is unplayable for many people and the developers ignore the problems and refuse to patch them, then your sales are going to suffer.

Where are you getting these numbers? It sold incredibly well across all 5 platforms.

-Keep in mind, Digital sales are not counted since those numbers aren't released.

Barely a million. My god, that's only like barely $60 million. That's hardly enough to keep a small dev team in booze and escorts for a month. Whatever will they do....

I think you are a troll with an agenda. I can see it a mile off. For many of us with good systems there have been absolutely no technical difficulties. The consensus is that it is a superb game, and it is. It has been so well reviewed, both by satisfied buyers and in the press and this is likely to have enhanced sales across all platforms. Until the OP provides hard data to back up his transparently malicious, agenda-driven allegations, he should be regarded as a troll. If he can do this I will apologise and stand corrected. I am not holding my breath.

Right, the 2,600 threads in this forum complaining of technical problems with this game are all people who don't have "good systems". You apologists are either blindly loyal fan boys, or paid shills for the developers.

Do you have a source for this information Sledge Hammer? I hate to be sceptical, but I have been unable to find any information which supports your claims. Most reviews of Wolfenstein: The New Order have been positive and, though I have been unable to uncover a definitive number of units sold, news articles would suggest that it has been selling reasonably well. As for a large number of technical problems, this seems to be an issue experienced by a minority as opposed to a majority. 2600 threads is hardly representative if you do not know the number of people who are not complaining.

Yup, I think most complaints about technical issues stem from people running it on less than optimal PCs although there are exceptions. Generally, people will howl that a game is broken when it isn't; that's just the way they behave when they buy a game that won't run on their PCs. The OP has gone one step further than this and is claiming, loudly and based on no apparent evidence, that it's a flop. It's nothing but frustration and malice.

If New Order did not sell well enough I hope its a wake up call to developers/publishers to stop spending absolute insane fortunes on making the huge set pieces and instead focus on the important part: gameplay. That extended sequence where mocap was used and voice actors have to be paid etc could have been an exciting shoot out instead. I'm probably in the minority but I want story minimalism in my first person shooters. That said I enjoyed the game and I hope it is a success for MachineGames.

Also, to the OP, where did you get the sales figures from? I did a bit of google searching and found nothing but this
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/wolfenstein-the-new-order-is-the-uk-s-second-biggest-release-of-2014-behind-titanfall/1100-6419896/
which does not give any figures but suggests the game is/was doing quite well.

I reckon it must be selling well. I had a hard time trying to find a store that had it in stock. Was sold out everywhere. The game is awesome. Runs perfect for me and my system is 2 and a half years old. Win 7 , GTX 580, 16 gig ram, i7 2700k. Don't need anything flash to run this game. The only thing that pissed me off was the installation with the huge update which must of been at least 7 gig. Took over 8 hours to install/update before I could play it. Longest install I have ever come across. Commodore 64 games on cassette would take 20 minutes and I thought that was ridiculous hahaha...

Here it is people, the sale figures for this game http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41791/Global/
It's hovering around 900K, Digital sales are not included, but it's sake to assume that it's probabably around 100k considering the fact that even he most successful PC only hover around 200-300K a month after release. This puts Wolfenstein's sales figure a little over a million copies. Continue your argument, folks.

It's funny when people become so delusional that even cold hard facts cannot convince them.

I really don't care how good or bad a game sells as long as I have fun playing it. Which in this case I did.
If the publishers promoted the game it might have sold even more, the top few games in that vgzchart all had loads of adverts and play through and stuff before it released.

Also i have not bought a retail hard copy DVD of a video game on PC since 2011.

Thy promoted it a ton. I still ads on tv every day. Frankly, I think the WW2 genre just isn't attractive enough for the general audience anymore. Coupled with the fact that it released a week before Watch Dogs, it didn't have much of a chance.
