Consoles run at 1080p 60...PC runs at 720p 40

Let me start by saying that the game runs fine and is completely playable. I do not really have a problem with playing in 720p and anything above 30 is playable for me. The problem is, consoles, including the previous generation, run at a solid 60 yet my PC can barely handle that frame rate and it is DEFINITELY higher spec then the Xbox 360. My GPU is about 15% weaker than the Xbox One GPU (which someone described to me as a "gimped 7770") however I can hardly run the game on 1080p low? I doubt that the XBOne ran on 1080p low. Even if it did, 900p was tested as well and still did not reach 60.

Again, normally I would be fine in this situation. But I feel a bit ripped off knowing that the console versions of the game are superior in frame rate. Does anybody know of any issues or any possible patches or anything that will help me improve the frames in any way?

P.s. GPU has been overclocked and also is an R7 250, processor is an FX-6300 which is fine and also 8GB of RAM. Drivers have also been updated to 14.4.

Most games not run at 1080p on either consoles and neither use proper AA only edge AA in games.

I cannot remember if it was this game or Watch Dogs I was reading about the other day but same story, running lower RES.

Well technically they can claim 1080p for this title (Xbone, not sure about 360) but its 1440x1080 not 1920x1080

The console versions are "dumbed down" to acheive the higher resolution. The PC version is not. If you want full frame rate at 1080p, you are going to have to reduce your graphics settings and use compressed textures.

WOW, your PC is either holding back or you need to down load and install AMD RATR. This app will help you put all of your settings so you can unleash your system. If this app doesn’t help, you need to look up the standard hardware required to just play the game. If you find your issue is there then, a simple upgrade can fix it. I get 70 to 110 FPS average 76 FPS. I have another system that will run the game at 6000 + 1080i. This is spread across three 27" ACER LED/LCD HN274H 3D monitors. Yes I know 6000 is not the correct res, I just can't remember what the last 2 digits were. Here are the statuses of the 3D system

An overclocked R7 250 doesn't even meet minimum specs for the game. So buy a better video card if you want to improve FPS.

Really? 1440x1080? That makes a bit more sense tbh.

I hope that is true that the consoles were dumbed down and therefore even on low the PC version looks better. That makes things a bit more understandable.

I have tried to install Raptr previously but there were no options to let me optimize Wolfenstein or Watch Dogs.

Also, my card meets the MINIMUM system requirements. Which should be enough for low. But I can't even get 60 frames on 720p low. I even tried 640x480 and still no dice.

Well your GFX card is seriously weak, so it's not that weird that you can't get a high framerate in this game.

Like I said, yes the card is weaker but that only stops me from playing in 1080p. Pretty much every other game (including watch dogs) gets a solid frame rate in 720p.

Watch Dogs is unoptimized on PC because Ubisoft did a horrible job and no consoles are not on the same level, not even remotely. This is a developer issue not a platform issue. These "Next Gen" consoles are not going to hold up well in the coming years.

Yeah I guess. It still kinda sucks though but I guess I will have to manage and save up for a new GPU since there are no new games coming out (except the july steam sales)

all the problems were from honestly and the truth is anyone who has a 2gb card. i can verify this. i had a r9 270x 2gb xfx from bestbuy, decided to jew them a 4gb 270x and put a 270x 2gb in the case since i bought it there before and they vastly overpriced by $50 a 270x. so i even sealed the other end with my other sealed end from my spare box from previous. they didint even check the box when i said i never opened it! LOL!

TLDR 2gb cards are the problem. had 2gb 270x, then a 4gb 270x. frames went from choppy missing textures on edges of screen while turning and 20-30 fps avg sometimes even 15 fps really choppy no ultra settings. THEN when i got a 4gb card of the SAME caliber card, everything is fine, ultra settings unlocked, no textures missing or tearing or hesitant pauses in cutscenes everything is completely fine and smooth 45-60 fps ALWAYS.

game developers of the latest coming out are all jumping towards the 3gb-4gb loop cause it can provide more visuals without proper coding or compression and saves overall development time to just use more VRAM. If you think about it its an excellent buy ♥♥♥♥ as hell marketing sceme as well to get hearted enthusiasts to upgrade to 4gb cards.

2gb cards will have a trainwreck of a time on this game even if u tone down settings. ive been there done that with the 2gb version of my same exact card same exact brand name and clock speeds.
