BJ dies.. for sure.
Its not shown nor do we see BJ's corpse.
Remember the super beton ? could very well be that they nuke the lower floors but BJ being near the top manages to survive the blast.
The ending is deliberately vague to allow for a potential sequel.
Lol, please read back that comment and you'll see the mistake you made. Hint, nuke bottom, bj top, might survive. The nuke will have devastated the entire town at least, not even considering its likely a Nazi super nuke which is much more powerful.
DLC will be Max vs Engel, he's told its time to stop crying and start fighting in the chopper yet we never see him again, my money is on the DLC starting in the chopper and following Max in his quest to destroy Engel
Are you familiar with the berlin flak towers ?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flak_tower
the relevant part is this.
"With concrete walls up to 3.5 metres (11 ft) thick, flak towers were considered to be invulnerable to attack with the usual ordnance carried by Allied bombers, though it is unlikely that they would have withstood Grand Slam bombs which, while not designed for this, had penetrated much thicker reinforced concrete."
Along with the construction time of less then 6 months.
Now consider the fact that the story specifically states that deathshead's fortress was finished after the war along with the strenght of super beton (that according to one of the newspaper clippings is stronger then steel)
Now we have an enormously strong concrete along with no practical restrictions of how thick its walls could be seeing how the war was over when the fortress was finished so the limits of available manpower and material availability are essentially gone and obviously the hurry to finish it quickly was also removed.
Also the nukes used on NY where airplane dropped the nukes from the submarine where artillery based and those have always been far less powerfull in real life.
Unless i missed a newspaper clipping the nazi's only seemed to have had regular nuclear weapons though i could be wrong on this.
I think she only broke her jaw when herr faust grabbed her.
Fueled by hate. All I can think of. Her hate is so powerful, she's no longer a mortal being. Her body is simply a puppet casing.
... Or hints at taking the Occult lines from other Wolfenstein games.
No dlc..
It's all over.......
Everyone dies...
BJ get's nuked, the compound (probably) gets completely destroyed, and frau dies in the blast hopefully..
Look its obvious that they deliberately made the ending ambigious to the end of BJ so that they leave enough room for an expansion or a full blown sequel.
So basing calculations on normal nukes we have today,
The trident system uses the W88 warhead as its most powerful payload, this warhead has 100Kilotons of power and the missile can take up to 12 warheads per missile meaning 1200KT of power, or 1.2Gigatons.
An 18KT bomb produces a fireball in the region on 1KM in size, everything inside this fireball is atomised instantly, now the blast doesn't scale proportionally however the blast radius from a 1.2GT nuke would decimate the entire town that the castle was based in, and by that I mean everything in a 10 square KM radius (roughly} would be totally gone. Then you've got the nuclear fallout afterwards, nothing alive in a 100 square KM radius would survive.
Sure concrete could protect you from the blast at enough distance and thickness of concrete however it wouldn't stop the radiation, p!us the bombs hit the castle directly. It would be nothing more than dust.
Did you sit through the credits? We don't hear a nuke go off. We hear the helicopter, and get a SMALL flash of white. Nothing saying the nuke actually went off. They left it somewhat open-ended on that account.
What i have read about nuclear artillery is that the high end yield of them is 1 kiloton.
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the nukes come from a Submarine?
Edit
I see your point now, its a shell rather than a missile which actually makes sense from what we saw in the game.
Remember the cannon BJ used ?
