Can you destroy the Tripod Walker on the first level?

The big electric version of the London Monitor is walking around in the first level. The first AA gun gives you a clear Line of Sight on the walker, but shooting at it just makes it turn at you and come 1-shot you if you sit there long enough.

I've tried killing it like you do the london monitor, but that doesn't seem to work at all. I've tried firing off a couple rounds then hiding around a corner till it goes back to its normal path, then shooting it again. Still nothing.

Seems weird to have such a tease where you can shoot it but not hurt it, and knowing Wolfenstein for its secrets I'm willing to bet theree is some way to kill it. Anyone know how?

Ye. Just keep shooting it. Preferably in the eye and the things on the side.

You have to shoot it in the eye, when the eye is open (right before it lasers you). None of the other points seem to do any damage, they just make it look at you.

Yep, I thought you had to kill it.
