Do steam users get a DOOM 4 beta code?

Only preorders got the beta. Steam based preorders got the doom beta added to their account automaticly, everybody else had to enter a code into the doom beta website.

What if i got a wolfenstine pre order key off a key site and activated it on my account will i still get beta access then?

I pre-ordered from Green Man Gaming and received 3 keys, one for Wolfenstein: TNO, one for RTCW, and one for the Doom 4 Beta. Both the keys for Wolfenstein I activated on Steam, but the Doom 4 Beta key required me to go to the website, doom-beta/wolfenstein or some such to activate it. So if you ordered from a third party, you should've gotten a seperate key for the Doom beta, and from what I gather it's tied to your email address, rather than Steam. At least at this point.

So wait, did I get screwed then? I preordered the game on the 19th when it was advertising the Doom 4 beta access, but I didn't get any email apart from the normal receipt from Steam, and I don't see any beta in my Steam library. Should I be contacting their support or am I just SOL?

I pre ordered mine from Amazon, and got the Doom 4 beta code, and as Waxxyone said its tied to your e-mail address not through steam.

Get a grip people... If you bought it on Steam it'll show up in your library when it's available.

I don't think it matters if you plan to buy Doom anyway..Bethesda is with Id now ..so when Doom is ready for release Doom im guessing will have its own preorder beta..same company made by Id..ill buy Doom anyway becuse im a Doom head from the begining

Doom is going to use this lousy Tech5, no sli, crap engine. Aside from that, if Doom is yet another one of Id's 'monster closet' type games, I'm passing on it.

I got my copy from gamestop and I got some postcards and a guide to occupied Ireland & Britain and a Doom code I'll give you my code if you give me a few trading cards or something. I don't want a Doom game
