Wolfenstein: The New Order International Edition

Wolfenstein: The New Order International Edition

The ending ruined this game for me.
I loved the game, but after the solid last boss,
SPOILER ALERT

He was in a mech suit, he climbs out after you beat him, and he won't surrender so you go to stab him, he pulls out a gernade, pulls the pin. He was holding it for 5 seconds, I don't understand why William (THE MAIN CHARACTER NAME IS WILLIAM) didn't run away, he had plenty of time to run away from the gernade! Any way, after the explosion. Your legs are broke, you crawl up to the window, and see your team helicopter with your girl friend leaving you. And you tell your team to drop the nuke on the base? And it ends RIGHT THERE.
We didn't even get to see the nuke explode, this game has so many ♥♥♥♥ blocks, it ends a scene when you're going to chainsaw a ♥♥♥♥, starts a scene when you are about the use something cool.

I was having so much fun with the game, but the ending ruined it all.

He wants to die, I can't believe this many people can't work it out. That is why he told Anya the happy ending (the vision in the backyard) wasn't for a couple like them. He wants to die because of all the $hit he has seen, he is in more pain being alive than if he died. He just wanted to kill Deathshead before going to the afterlife.

yeah that's what I took away from the ending as well. They did a good job in trying to capture the emotion in his eyes as the chopper left

That being said you dont see him die or the nuke going off for that matter so they very easily could. do a sequel or DLC
I'm guessing he did run as the grenade blew off half of deathsheads body and BJ basically has a flesh wound

BJ has been stabbed multiple times and in the game and shrugged those off.

Was any one else thinking "get to the chopper" in an Arnie voice at the end?

His intestines were hanging out.
I'm a bit sad we never got to kill Obersturmbahnführer Engel. I wanted to mess her up more than I did in the game. I want a Mecha Engel!

I know right, he has been shot, stapped, posioned. And he survived all that,

It's a clear open ending.

If the game doesn't do well in sales they close the franchise with a amazing and dramatic ending. If we buy lot of copies B.J. makes an epic comeback in the sequel.

...so buy copies, monsters.

Caroline Becker was supposedly killed on Wolfenstein 2009 and it was wrong.
He's a major character in a decades old series, he's not dead. The end of the credits heavily imply he was rescued.

He seems to kill off one major enemy character a game, regardless of timeline. Besides all that, you and the frau' have a huge rivalry created, that would be all for nothing if BJ wasnt there in the next game or dlc to flesh it out.

All the "he's dead" people are a little daft, honestly.

Maybe part of him thinks that life isnt for him. Part of him doesnt think a soldier like himself can ever dream of having a life like that. But the more optimistic side of him is the one that tells Anya (when they are having sex in the room, "I want this with you. Like this...always..." So Anya is someone he wants to ahve a future with. He just doesnt see it as very likely. If you go back to Robert Campbell, "Hero with a Thousand FAces" (i think that was the name), at the end of his quest, the hero always has problems dealing with what to do next. And, whether or not he/she has a place in the world once their quest is at an end.

FYI...before the elevator gets screwed up and he goes up...BJ clearly makes an effort to grab Bombate's hand to get pulled up.
i was skimming over the forums looking to see what the guitar player's name is since jesse cox keeps refering to him as jimmi hendrix and jesse is sometimes an idiot and seen this there's probably going to be dlc for this game since most games have dlc to them now and the dlc will pick up where this left off

They probably wanted to kill off the main character therefore starting a new chapter in the universe.
BJ won't die, he'll survive.

He is Jimy Hendrix, indeed, he plays a lot of his songs if you listen to him.
I don't think after all they've been through and the whole Ramona being Anya thing that she would just get in the helicopter and leave him. she waited like 2 seconds for him and didn't even try to contact him to say goodbye. Nor did they say goodbye at any other point and of course, the wolfenstein series is like the origin of the first person shooter and BJ has been in all of them so i doubt they'd kill him off now.
The cutscenes in this game aren't worth watching. Why does it even have them? They only detract from the game's strong points which are solid shooting action.
