What happened to Blazkowicz to make him immortal?

Slight spoilers ahead!!




Basically I was wondering if the old games point out exactly why he seems to be immortal, he gets stabbed and drugged up with things that should shut him down but he keeps living, the only reason he survives the prison camp is because he SHOULD have died after being sliced and stabbed so often but somehow he is perfectly ok.

Is this something the old series mention or is this going to be in a sequal to this were we find out hes been experimented on to make him heal so quickly from what should be mortal wounds?

That could be it but I was more hoping theres a story reason.. regenerating health I understand is a game mechanic but he literally gets dumped with corpses after being killed then wakes up.. are we meant to believe the knife didn't bother to check and stabbed him in completely the wrong places non stop?

Did I say I want realism? I'm just curious why hes surviving what should kill him constantly, its either a story point that goings to play out later or the laziest devs I've ever seen. What next the intro the the next game is his body reforming like terminator then everybody acts like nothing happened? folled by him being beheaded then his head kills the nazis by itself before reattatching itself?

OK then, he got injected with a magic potion, the end :)

Even that would be better than "he just dies then comes back cos we said so" , I hope there is some story point thats going to play out in a sequel that explains this, perhaps one which brings the supernatural element back into it.

I do hate the idiots trying to say its fiction so its ok to not give a reason.. in lord of the rings did they say *your invisible cos you are no reason* *old men can do werid stuff just cos* no they rationalise it by calling it "magic" and most of the time even explain how its meant to work and the such.

Star wars for example they explain why the force works in their world they don't just say "meh it just does". Just saying "its fiction" isn't a good excuse, very bad writers use it as an excuse cos they aren't smart enough to try and explain it but the GOOD ones do explain it.

wow never knew I'd get such flak for wantnig a simple thing like why a the main character with NO supernatural involvement mentioned at all is completely immortal.. its no wonder stories are getting pathetic in gaming these days, people will actually insult people for wanting it to be coherent

Previous games don't stick to 1 story from what I've read its all over the place with different time lines. Hitler and deadshead were killed in a previous game now they're back.
