Tekla I am not entirely sure who she is supposed to represent and while her borderline schizophrenic behaviour is a bit weird; she did have a good point with her rantings.
Though ultimately both secondary characters are useless. :)
Truthfully though, he wasn't far off with his statement. No one likes being called a Nazi, but the post WWII era was tough for our country. He made some seriously thought provoking statements about the state of the US during that time. If you look up the history, most of what he said didn't change all that much when the Nazis took over the US in this game's timeline.
For example, the US actually put thousands of Asians in internment camps after Pearl Harbor on top of the difficult Civil Rights movement during that time period. The US wasn't much better than the Nazis we fought in WWII, much of it due to a White government that oppressed equality and fought to essentially retain that Whites were the real Americans.
J's statements are a reflection of the US's history and the struggle non-white Americans went through during that era (not that racism & prejudice is gone in this country, its just now more subversive and underhanded), while Tekla's is more of an existential statement of life in general.
Hanging out and rockin' with J was awesome (and so was his final scene), but I connected more with Tekla. The conversation you have with her about human consciousness was amazing and seeing BJ teach her how to use weapons was sweet.
Then came the final mission. It was bad enough seeing HQ in flames and Klaus shot, but watching her death really pissed me off.
