became quite sad with the ending. He definitely deserves better. But you cant always get what you wish for. The stuff he has survived is nigh impossible odds.
But we will see, if there is a sequel, i have a feeling he might just pull through this.
I REALLY hope so! BJ is kind of like THE FPS guy. so to see him go down does not make me feel good about the future of shooters.
Could mean the chopper leaving or chopper making a u-turn to pick up BJ at the last moments.
The showdown was just there because... showdown.
The whole thing with the grenade also felt incredibly cheesy. I mean normally the hero dies saving people or something, here he dies for no reason *after* beating the villain. Maybe it's realistic that he could be killed this way, but it is as far from satisfying as it could be.
Loved the game, hated the ending.
Well the point was that he went their to save Anya and the others, which is why they didn't just outright nuke the place...
As for the showdown, BJ wanted to make sure Deathshead stays dead this time; since he survived the last game. There's no gaurentee that Deathshead couldn't just hide in a bunker or something when the time came.
That being said the grenade thing was a bit dissapointing...
They had already been saved, hadn't they? Well, I suppose BJ kept Deathshead busy while they were escaping so let's say I will overlook this one. It still doesn't take the disappointment from the cheap grenade kill away.
That's why I think BJ is also still alive. People survive quite a bit in the Wolfenstein universe and the ending was just open enough for it to happen if they decide to make a DLC or sequel.
You can replay the game on a harder difficulty, or using an enigma code, or with all the perks and weapon upgrades unlocked. (To keep all your perks start a game by choosing chapter one on chapter select, rather than doing 'new game'.) Combine that with playing on a different timeline, and that is plenty of incentive to play the game a second time.
There are several things changed by the different timelines:
In Fergus timeline, you learn to hotwire control panels, in Wyatt timeline you learn to lockpick doors. This creates different routes through the levels.
In Fergus timeline, you get upgrades to your maximum health. In Wyatt timeline, you get upgrades that boost how much each piece of armour gives you (so you get +6 armour instead of +5, +55 armour instead of +50, stuff like that).
In Fergus timeline, there is a resistance member who is a crazy old lady. In Wyatt timeline... it is Jimmy Hendrix. Yes, Jimmy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Hendrix is in the resistance.
