Ridiculous steam install
I gotta tell ya...who is responsible for coming up with this nonsense??!!! I bought the retail copy of the game(Wolfenstein new order)...did the full install off the dvds and was told, after installation that the game could not be played until an update was installed...it has taken 28 HOURS so far and I still can't play the friggin game...Why even sell a retail copy to me if I have to download the whole thing anyway?? Why couldn't I play the "buggy" version while the update was downloading? I only play single player so I could give a crap about the multiplayer code problems...I can't tell you how absolutely frustrated I am....I don't mind an update..but not allowing me to even see the title screen before 28 hours of downloads...c'mon get your sh*t tohether steam and Bethesda....I will probably never even try one of these latest and greatest games again anytime soon......

Took me about 2.5 hours to download it all from Steam.

7 hours, and counting. Even 2.5 hours is too much. What is the point of a retail version if you still need hours of DL? Frankly, if steam wasnt such a rip-off on new titles, id take all my games in DL.

Took me 56 minutes to download the whole thing from steam :)... Maybe if you ask mommy and daddy they can upgrade your 56k connection to cable...

Took me around 19 hours for the full digital download here....

And the game was PATCHED?? Because honestly, I dont think a single patch has been yet applied to a game that looks like it absolutely needs some work done yet.

No big surprise...

Pretty awful way to distribute at retail. There's no way around that and I'd be pissed too if I bought retail because of internet issues. Luckily I bought a 25% discounted key from GMG and downloaded the full thing in 90 minutes. I guess it included the "patch" since there's been no updates.
2.5 hours isn't that bad since the game is a 50gb file. Pretty sure a lot of stuff wasn't compressed. Also wondering if the game is worth picking up. I never pay full price so wondering at what price should I end up buying it.
