I went to the PLYR website and performed a firmware update:

Thereafter, I was able to toggle the appropriate configuration and properties:
-Right click Sound in your bottom right system icons tray
-Select Playback Devices
-Under Playback tab, select Properties
-Under Enhancements tab, click the Virtual Surround option
-Under Playback tab, select the Skullcandy device and click Configure
-Ensure Stereo is selected (not Mono)
