You waited that long? I thought it would have been obvious when you first see him. Of course that requires you to listen to what he is playing for a bit. The song he plays is "Little Wing", and that is the dead giveaway, as he (Hendrix) wrote it.

It's a young black man with messy hair who plays an electric gutar and is just named J from the 1960's.
Yeah, I'm preeeeeety sure that's supposed to be Jimi Hendrix

Not to mention he's playing the guitar left-handed, just like Jimi did in real life, and I don't know any other black guitarist from that period that played left-handed.

Just FYI Hendrix wasn't fully 'black' either. He was actually, if memory serves me right, a quarter Native American and part German, to boot.

LOL I dunno I think posting a cameo appearance by someone is considered a spoiler. Your playing a shooter so guns are a given but a musician appearing in said shooter not so given.

He talks about how his father was killed in the war. Jimi's dad was a soldier in WWII. Just in case you needed even more reason to suspect it really was him.

Dude, Jimmy Hendrix is the best guitar player of history, made a fusion of blues, hard rock and psychodelia back in the late 60's.

See his performances on youtube and listen to God.

To anyone doubting it's supposed to be someone VERY much like him...

Go look up Hendrix's performance of the Star Spangled Banner and go watch the scene in which J dies.

It might not be exactly him but they were basically going for a guy almost exactly like him.
