About the ending.... [Spoiler Alert!]

Is he dead? I'd love to think otherwise, but the ending song strongly implies his fate. :(

It seems he is dead, but since they don't show him dying and since they are probably planning a sequel he might be alive.

Loved the game, don't like the ending. I understand the "sacrifice to save the world" idea but prefer a happier ending. Does that make me sappy? Yep, you bet. Like most of us, my life has enough downers in it, I don't want them in my fantasies. I watched all the credits, mostly because of the song which was great, and I heard the helicopter at the end. I hope that means there is a sequel and Blaskowicz has more life to live. But sequels are never certain and cliffhangers are only good if you have the next chapter in hand.
