Ch.6 - London Nautica - Boss Glitch - Help?

I've restarted the level a few times but the glitch keeps reoccurring.

(spoilers)
So the car slams into the building - explodes - and I crawl through the rubble. Near the end, I reach the robot that grabs you & tosses you... and it seems to vanish or glitch through the wall?

I'm running all over the rubble-strewn room and it won't appear (but I can hear it). I can even leap to the next section (with the planetary stuff) but no more soldiers spawn (and an invisible wall prevents me from passing on to the area with the model moon). I've seen videos online for comparison, but the NPCs just aren't there.

Any ideas as to what might be causing it - how to fix it - or how to bypass the section so I can continue the story? Anyone else have a similar issue?
