Legit way to play 120 fps or is Cracked Version the only way?
Title is question. I can't find a way to get this Steam game running above 60 fps. Only way I know how is to DL the cracked version. Anybody have a workaround for a legitimate copy?

The fact you can get it to run at 120 Frames with a cracked version would normally suggest it's something you'll need to edit with regedit and/or a "random" file. Normally when they reverse engineer the code to bypass the DRM (Steam in this case) they'll look around the rest of the games files in great detail, which is not something that is likely to happen with legit players.

Personally I question your need for anything past 60 and I do enjoy the normal backlash to that comment (I'm a freelance video edit and yes I notice 900p vs. 1080p or 60 vs 120 but that doesn't mean I care while I throw a knife into a Nazi's ballsack...)

I that case; reverse engineer the game and remove the frame lock.:steammocking:

Yeah yeah, I don't have those kinds of skills, besides the games is already available with the frame lock removed, if you're okay with playing a cracked version.

LOL 60fps is fine. It's a single player game...You just want 120fps so you can brag about it.

Wow, what a usual reversal of the normal "if it won't run at 120FPS with details maxed the devs should be publicly flogged" Steam Attitude. Shouldn't somebody be jumping in about this point to say "it runs at 120FPS for me your system must suck!"?

Seriously the only reason to lock a max frame rate is, well, aside from crappy coding which I really doubt applies here, the only reason to lock it is out of contractual obligations that "the PS3/XBox version must be faster than the PC version"...ie nothing that benefits the end users.

I personally don't care much as long as the frame rate "feels smooth" but I do love it when it's smooth. Doesn't everybody? I mean besides the people who responded in this thread, who prefer it choppy I guess. Who am I to judge?

With all due respect folks, if we want to play it at 120/144fps then that's our business. I came here looking for a way to unlock it as I see absolutely no reason to spend the money I did on a better monitor when everything is still being frame locked to 30 or 60fps.

"Who needs television? I'll only ever need radio. The only people who will buy a TV are those with something to prove, radio is fine for me. And if it's fine for me, it's fine for you, too."

"Who needs Colour television? Black & White is perfectly adequate. Only Ponces need colour. You don't need colour because I say you don't."

"Who needs HDTV? My old CRT Colour TV is more than enough for anything these days. Pffft, people with more money than sense, you go buy your ridiculous TVs. Besides, there's no visible difference in HD anyway. Because I say so, that's why."

"Who needs 4k/120hz when 1080p/60hz screens are perfectly fine? Blah blah BECAUSE I SAY IT'S ENOUGH!"

And soon to follow:
"Who needs 16k sets? They show NO difference compared to the 4k sets. I'm just gonna stick with 4k and save myself the money, it's perfectly fine, and you all should too. Nobody should buy 16k because I say so."

There are the "Why spend money when I'm happy to settle for a lesser product and pretend the better product does exactly what the lesser product does? Look at me, I'm so humble, I ride an Ox-cart to work and don't have electricity because change scares me" people, then there are the "F*** IT - Let's upgrade!" people.

I have never seen any difference between 120 fps and 60; I read somewhere that even the human eye can't even grasp 60 fps, much less 120. This is not a question of settling for less, in this case its just pointless. The game runs perfectly fine @ 60 fps on max ultra graphics.

Can the human eye tell the difference between 60 and 120 fps? I don't know. What I do know is if you randomly put my monitor on 60 or 120 fps and had me guess which one it was on, I'd get it correct 100% of the time.

to each their own; but if you are saying the game is unplayable being "stuck" @ 60fps, then i'd say you have a problem...

if your monitor has native 144hz refresh you do feel difference if cap is at 60fps or (preferably)capped not. CAP DOES CAUSE TROUBLES TO ME. Screen tearing..micro stutters...V-sync to be messed around....And all in name of Idiocy. Why some games would not accomodate native conditions on given PC....If clearly pirate copies could do, and do perform few classes better....
