Steam controller and Wolfenstein: Controller not able to do certain functions?

So after using the Steam controller for a few hours and making some progress into Wolfenstein I have a few issues. Trying to lock pick and change weapons with the right bumper menu don't seem to work properly.

1: once I reached the point where I chose to save Wyatt, I have to lock pick a gate to get free. My right haptic pad is setup as the mouse and pushing it as a button is mouse 1. But using that combination as the tutorial says doesn't do anything on the steam controller. It works fine if I grab the mouse real quick and use it instead. Has anyone had this issue or know a work around?

2: When I press and hold the right bumper it brings up a weapon menu. I was under the impression that if you bring up this *wheel* you could use the left joystick (or a haptic pad) to choose any weapon you have in your inventory. The only thing I am aloud to do is press *Y* and it switches between only the two weapons I have equipped. Even though using the number pad on the keyboard does indeed show I have more weapons in my inventory as it switches to numerous ones. Am I misunderstanding how the weapon menu works with the right bumper?

I've only played for 3-4 hours so who knows if something else will come along that I don't have control over. Any thoughts are appreciated.
