The nature of brain damage
B.J. Blazkowicz suffers a traumatic brain injury that should've killed him or left him paralyzed. Instead, he managed to recover and get back on his feet, lucidity intact.

How?

Judging by where the shrapnel went into his skull, the metal would reside in his Cerebral Cortex. Specifically, his Parietal Lobe.

Originally posted by Grey's Anatomy 2014 Edition:
"The Parietal Lobe integrates sensory information among various modalities, including spatial sense and navigation, the main sensory receptive area for the sense of touch. Its main function is providing a sense of touch, temperature, and pain.

Essentially, the main focus of why he's able to persist through most of the damage he had post TBI is due to the nature of his wound. Needless to say, the fact he held the artifact in Wolf 2009 has given him mild regenerative abilities, on top with the brain damage; I'd say he's pretty much neigh unstoppable.

Thoughts?

14 years of living in a chair unable to move..he shouldn`t have the muscle tone to do more than slither out of the chair let alone be unstoppable..unless it was as an unstoppable puddle.

Pfft. Next thing you'll tell there aren't Nazis on the moon either.

So he got lucky and can feel things, but is resistent to pain? That explains a lot. pretty crazy.

And yeah, after 14 years of being in a chair, he'd have NO muscles.

When he first falls into that room, he's "knocked out" by a chunk of concrete bigger than his head crushing his face. It was a 20+ ft fall as well. Throw in all the other stuff like the plane and the dogs, and you can basically just throw any sense of belief out the window.

Blaz is only mortal when the writer tells him to be.
